Love Continuance and Increasing
Aug. 16th, 2012 12:02 pmThat's the title.
I finished all the scenes it needed and filled in the brackety bits. I let it sit for a little. I did an editing pass. I showed it to some people who HADN'T been reading it as it went along.
gehayi, who is a professional freelance editor, thinks well of it.
erastes says she'll start on it tonight.
It came in at just under 78.5K.
Today, as well as dishes and laundry, I intend to write the synopsis, and hopefully the query letter, so I can send it out the door.
Then I wait.
Well, then I wait and start on the sequel. Which at this point means research -- I have to learn a lot more about the Peninsular War before I can get on with it, because that's what we're heading into. I'm pretty sure I'm picking up in late 1807/early 1808, just after Copenhagen, but more research will see if I need to start it earlier.
Cross your fingers for me!
