Rules
1. Go to page 77 (or 7th) of your current ms
2. Go to line 7
3. Copy down the next 7 lines – sentences or paragraphs – and post them as they’re written. No cheating.
4. Tag 7 other authors. {Like Elin, I refuse to do that. Play if you want.}

How close a friend? Not a lover, Rockingham was willing to wager. He couldn't imagine anyone coming between Marcus Birtwhistle and his Alexander; those two were as devoted a pair as ever David and Jonathan were, or perhaps Achilles and Patroclus. Thank all the Gods, Biblical and Classical, that they would be spared the grief of their forebears, at least for a while.
Thorne knew of the bond between those men, that much was obvious; just as obvious, he saw it as no mark against them. Even accounting for the way Alexander inspired others to affection, as Marcus did to respect for his intelligence and courage, that level of acceptance was rare. Could it signal that Thorne was similarly inclined?
